Skateboarding Tricks and Tips

This website is about skateboarding tricks and how to perform them. It will focus on a lot of tricks, each time I learn a new skateboard trick I will add that to this website. This website is not only my personal way of doing the tricks, it is aimed to help you perform the trick too. You can use this as a guide to learning the trick or simply improving the trick. I will cover the basics on the website plus more. The basic tricks you should be able to do before performing anything more technical are the Ollie, a Kickflip, a Pop ShuvIt, 360 Pop Shuvit, a Frontside 180 and a Backside 180. When you have learnt these you can then take it further by doing a Shuvit Flip, Frontside Flip, Backside Flip and a 360 Flip (aka Tray Flip). This is why it is important to learn the basics first because the technical tricks are just variations of the basic tricks that being said the technical tricks can be performed with out actually knowing how to do the basic tricks.

Skateboarding has evolved so much, at first it used to be you just ride the skateboard down the street, on your knee's is how I did it when I was a kid (laughs) but then people started to experiment, and tricks started to appear, first there was an Ollie which is nowadays not really classed as a trick but it is. The kickflip was first invented by Rodney Mullen and when mastered is one of the nicest looking skateboard tricks there is so you should definatly practice this trick, besides the fact it is the trick that you need confidence in to pull off other variations of the trick.
